Hazak Lunch & Learn

Congregants and community members of all ages are welcome to join our monthly daytime learning sessions. We’re inviting some of Calgary’s great thinkers and writers to teach, inspire and connect with us as we socialize and share a delicious lunch.

This April, join us for a special session with David Busheikin as he shares his firsthand experience volunteering in Israel with Sar-El. Sar-El is a program that allows volunteers from around the world to contribute to the Israel Defense Forces through various service opportunities. David will discuss his time spent volunteering, including the tasks he undertook and the impact of his service. Gain insights into the unique perspective gained from volunteering in Israel and learn about the meaningful connections forged through service.

David Busheikin is a lifelong resident of Calgary and a retired lawyer. Over the years, he has been involved in various Jewish community organizations, including The Calgary Jewish Academy, the Jewish Historical Society of Southern Alberta and the Calgary Jewish Film Festival.
