This Purim, Beth Tzedec and Temple B’nai Tikvah are teaming up for a fin-tastic, over-the-top Purim shpiel parody of Disney’s The Little Mermaid—and we’re looking for performers, prop-makers, singers, non-singers, sea creatures, and humans alike!
Have you always wanted a starring role? Prefer to stay on dry land, helping backstage? Curious about what happens when Purim meets Ariel, Ursula, and a whole lot of Jewish humour? However you want to participate, there’s a role for you.
All ages are encouraged to join in the fun. Whether you’re a confident belter, a reluctant crab, or someone who just loves making tridents, crowns, and questionable underwater décor, you’ll be part of a joyful, cross-congregational celebration of Purim.
Rehearsals (at Beth Tzedec | 12:00–1:30 pm)
- Sunday, February 8
- Sunday, February 22
- Sunday, March 1
🌟 The Big Splash: Monday, March 2, following 5:30pm Evening Services at Beth Tzedec
This shpiel is a true collaboration between Beth Tzedec Congregation and Temple B’nai Tikvah, bringing our communities together to laugh, create, and tell the Purim story—with a nautical twist.
