Harry the Historian was born in 1966 in Drumheller. His father opened the Whitehouse Hotel. Spending his early youth in and at the hotel gave Harry a lifelong appreciation for heritage buildings, which influenced his decision to study history and to follow a career as a local historian. Harry will delight us with the definitive history of how one hotel, the Fairmont Palliser, has defined our city of Calgary from the first oil boom to modern times.
