Rosh Hodesh Elul: A Women’s Gathering of Renewal

Calling all women of Beth Tzedec! Step into the sacred season of Elul with intention, community, and heart. Join us on Sunday, August 24 for a special Rosh Hodesh celebration as we welcome a new month and begin our spiritual journey toward the High Holidays.

Our morning begins with a Shacharit service at 9:00 AM, followed by a meaningful Rosh Chodesh program with Rabbi Ilana, and a light brunch. Through prayer, meditation, Torah study, chanting, poetry, and song, we’ll reflect, reconnect, and ready our souls for the Days of Awe.

According to tradition, Rosh Hodesh has long held special significance for Jewish women. In reward for refusing to contribute to the building of the Golden Calf, the women of Israel were gifted this holiday—a monthly moment of rest and spiritual renewal. Join us in honouring this legacy and embracing the power of Elul together.
