When a national tragedy coupled with the dying wish of a protégé compels American trauma surgeon Dr. Anna Goldenberg to bring elite trauma training to a warzone, she embarks on a deeply personal mission that transcends bureaucracy, borders, and conflict. Motivated by her former protégé, an Israeli doctor who is facing a battle of his own with metastatic cancer, Goldenberg is determined to bring “Advanced Surgical Skills for Exposure in Trauma” — a cadaver-based course known simply as “ASSET” – to Israel. This inspiring documentary is a hopeful and deeply human story about mentorship, collaboration, and the universal commitment of healthcare professionals to save lives – and a reminder that each of us, as individuals, has the power to take action and make a difference in the world.
