Displaced from their homes in the kibbutzim and villages along Israel’s southern border with Gaza following the October 7th massacre, the twelfth graders of Nofei HaBsor, the regional high school, face an uncertain future. Scattered across the country and longing to be with each other, the students unite and appeal to the Ministry of Education. Their plea results in the establishment of a unique boarding school in Ein Gedi by the Dead Sea. In this moving and inspiring film, director Paz Schwartz intimately follows their year of living and studying together in this temporary sanctuary, grappling with the loss of family members and friends, and forging unexpected bonds as they navigate their final year towards graduation. Amidst all the trauma and loss that they have experienced, they have each other… for support, for healing and for hope.
