Visual Arts (Youth) — Shiluv Learning Club

Immerse yourself in a captivating journey where painting, papier-mâché, drawing, and more converge with the rich tapestry of Jewish symbolism, allowing your artistic expression to flourish like never before. Students will be invited to learn and engage with Jewish symbols in new ways, blending their own vision with old meaning.

Mark your calendar! Visual arts classes will meet on alternating Wednesdays, October 18, November 1, 15, & 29, and December 13.

Students in Grades 2-6 will learn from 4:00pm to 5:00pm while students in Grades 7 and up will learn from 5:00pm to 6:00pm. When not in the art class, all participants are welcome to join Homework Club at no additional charge.

About the Instructor

Sarah Bing is a local Calgary artist. She loves painting controversial artwork that creates dialogue and creates curiosity within her audience.  She is currently exploring art making in an abstract surrealist style.  Sarah teaches art classes to adults, teens and children alike, both in group settings as well as privately.  Over the last three years, Sarah has nurtured a growing love of mindfulness and meditation which she shares with her students, as she feels this is a tool that is invaluable to all both in art making and in life.
