Teen Wednesdays at Beth Tzedec

Home Education and Programs Children, Youth and Families Teen Wednesdays at Beth Tzedec

From January until June, we’re inviting teens in grades 8 to 12 to participate in free weekly programming dedicated to learning, connecting and living their Jewish values – every Wednesday at Beth Tzedec.

Teen Hang

January 11 & 25 | February 8 & 22 | March 8 & 22 | April 19 | May 3, 17 & 31 | June 14 at 4:00pm to 5:30pm

Hang out with us! That means playing foosball, doing something creative (like joining our script club or drama club), finishing up homework and sharing delicious snacks while lounging in our comfy chairs. Relax and catch up with your friends! We’ll be upgrading our offerings throughout the year, so don’t miss out on a moment of fun.

Presented in partnership with BBYO/JCC.

Teen Learning Project

January 18 | February 1 & 15 | March 1, 15 & 29 | April 26 | May 10 & 24 | June 7 at 4:00pm to 5:00pm

Torah. Psychology. Philosophy. Pop culture. We’ll use it all to better understand the world and our place in it. Join TLP for deep discussion, intense debate, and powerful insights on the biggest issues affecting our lives today – and of course, there will pizza.

Dorshei Tzedec Teen Philanthropy Program

February 8, 15 & 22 | March 1 & 8 at 4:00pm to 5:30pm

We’re giving you the keys to $1000-$3000 – where will it go? Figure out what it takes to become a strong, virtuous leader with our Teen Philanthropy Program. You have just five sessions to build a mission and value statement, identify a problem worth addressing, raise awareness and additional funds in the community, and select the organization to receive those funds. Teen Hang and Teen Learning Project participants are invited to join us as we use Jewish values to guide us in making a tangible difference in our community.

Presented in partnership with Calgary Jewish Federation, Jewish Community Foundation of Calgary, the LIFE & LEGACY initiative and Calgary B’nai Brith Lodge 816.
